Top 5 Must Do's!

Find what to do today, this weekend, or this month! We have the top 5 places and activities to spend your time around High Rock Lake.

#1

Get Wet

Tubing is one of the most popular activities on the lake. Whether you want a thrill or just chill, a tube ride is a great way to have fun and cool off. The best part, all you have to do is hold on. Skis, kneeboards, wakeboards, and even surfboards involve some effort to learn but are all worth effort. The best way to get wet is simply go for a swim. Whether it’s from your anchored boat, a dock or one of the lakes’ designated swimming areas, a swim is certainly a “must do.” If you do get in the water please be sure and use the best safety practices.

#2

Catch a fish

High Rock Lake offers some of the best fishing in the region. Bass, catfish, crappie, striper and bluegill can be caught from the bank or from a boat. For seasonal fishing tips, check out our fishing section on this site.

#3

 Catch a sunrise or sunset

There is nothing like watching the sunrise or set over the water. There are amazing vantage points all over the lake. Several groups of people often gather to experience the spectacle together. They’re called flotillas. Pontoon boats anchor in a good spot, tie together and often share some food.

#4

Explore

While the water is certainly the main focus, there are a lot of things to see and do around the lake. There are plenty of parks, hiking and biking opportunities and great places to shop in nearby towns.

#5
