Goat Island
Goat Island is a popular gathering spot on High Rock Lake. On most weekends in the summertime you will see numerous boats tied up in the shallow water surrounding the island.

This small undeveloped speck of land sits in the middle of Crane Creek on the Rowan County Side of the lake. You can access it on Google Maps here. You can only access this location by water. Please keep in mind that the property is private and is posted.
Float the Goat
In 2019 High Rock Lake resident Mikey Wetzel had an idea to use an old dock as a floating stage for a band and put on a concert near goat island.
The pandemic and a busy schedule prevented another concert until 2022 but the event came back bigger and better than ever.
